We did this a few years ago and got into trouble - but this it is officially blessed and features an Umphrey's side project called 2MUCHBASS. So after their huge show at the IMU, head down here for a very intimate post party featuring:
Joel Cummins - Keyboards
Kris Myers - Drums
Tommy D Daugherty - Bass
Craig Erickson - Guitar
Iowa City's Dr. Z's Experiment kicks of this party.

We got pretty lucky on this one:
Some music, because of its originality, timelessness, mass appeal, or perhaps because it is just plain odd, will always be destined for the hallowed halls of cult classicism. No band fits this criteria better than Papadosio. In just 4 years Papadosio has wowed crowds from Denver to NYC, Cleveland to Atlanta, shaking the earth at festivals and clubs alike.
Papadosio's music is all about unexpected combinations. From Rock/House to Jazz/Hop to Dub/Breaks and so on, every song has a unique approach to attaining originality. Long improvisational interludes and vocal harmonies quickly set this group in a new category of mass appeal.
...with an amplified message of transcendence, unity, and universal understanding, Papadosio's mission is clear: To combine eclectic musical traditions with modern Electronica to stir the heart and fuel the mind.
Press:
Adam Fox(Universal Studio's): "It is rare for Bands to have such control, understanding, and objectivity as they create and produce their own music. Young, freakishly mature, and wise beyond their years, Papadosio has just released a sophisticated work of art."

This is truly amazing. These bands wanted a place to play on March 12. When we said we were doing a Haiti benefit show, they not only jumped at the idea, but decided to do another benefit in their hometowns.
Andre, from the Mill, also gets credit for coming up with the idea.

OK Iowa City, here is a test for you. These guys are good friends with Euforquestra. And, even though we warned them that this show was during spring break, they wanted to try it anyway. So let's say thank you to some more amazing bluegrass by having as many of you as possible attend this one.
Press Quotes:
"Cutting edge, listeners will fully enjoy this unique sound."
- Drew Emmitt (Leftover Salmon)
"One of most professional independent releases of the year in this market"
- Marquee Magazine (2009)
"This album has it (Head for the Hills self-titled album). The electricity that fuels Head for the Hills’ live performances has been harnessed and captured in the studio, which is no small feat."

About Radio Moscow:
Marrying the bluesy psychedelic fervor of Cream with the big, precise fretwork of Jimi Hendrix, Radio Moscow relish in distortion and grittiness. Prevalent are themes of heartache, heartbreak, and drug intake, sometimes accompanied by instrumental forays into tumbleweeding country ("Lickskillet") and East Indian-influenced soundscapes ("Ordovician Fauna").

Radio Moscow's Radio Moscow: The Black Keys love their '70s classic rock, and they know what it smells like. Member Dan Auerbach helps Ames, Iowa, psychedelic blues-rockers Radio Moscow tap into their love of Jimi Hendrix and the Allman Brothers on this debut effort, which also delves into country and East Indian sounds. Songs include: "Lickskillet," "Ordovician Fauna" and "Luckydutch." - mtv.com
