Hot Buttered Rum

9pm

Price: $10

Hot Buttered Rum, one of the hardest-working and fastest-rising acts in acoustic rock, began in the San Francisco Bay Area with five uniquely talented singer-songwriter/instrumentalists setting out to create a new Northern California sound. The Bay Area claims credit for producing dozens of bands, from Jefferson Airplane, the Grateful Dead, and Old and In the Way, to the Mother Hips, Green Day, Metallica, and beyond. From this fertile ground sprang Hot Buttered Rum’s own infectious blend of American styles—folk, rock, jazz, and newgrass—all informed by the landscape of their home.

Bradley Nowell's Birthday/Sublime Tribute w/Second Hand Smoke

Sublime - 9pm

This show was absolutely huge last year so you might want to get tickets in advance
We are Secondhand Smoke, and we are dedicated to keeping the Sublime legacy alive by performing the songs live, and recreating the Sublime show experience. We AREN'T a business. We can't compete with Badfish (sadly, neither can Bud or Eric.). We don't want to try to BE Sublime. We are just a bunch of musicians that like to play a Sublime show once in a while. We play every song, no matter how difficult or obscure. We get a little wasted sometimes. We drive around in a smelly van. SEE OUR SHOW!

Secondhand Smoke is a trio, like Sublime. With every passing show, the sound becomes more and more like Sublime. You simply need to check out a show to get a taste! Flawlessly ripping out all of the best tunes, no matter how obscure.
Plus we just added a super cool Chicago ska band to open this one - www.myspace.com/jynxdmusic
